Design Thinking for Business Growth
This 2-day workshop empowers participants to embrace the principles and practice the methodology of Design Thinking in order to better support fellow colleagues’ needs as internal customers to one another in an organisation; this is known as lateral service and is the key to unifying your employees. Such a mindset shift in the organisation will create happy employees whom will be able to ensure that your external customers are happy with your company. In order to satisfy the external customer, Design Thinking is needed to break down silos in the organisation so as to encourage departments to work synergistically together as internal customers to each other in order to come up with service innovations that will leave lasting positive memories for the external customers. It is these positive memories that customers remember and adore a company thus becoming their loyal fans - this is the only thing that defines an organisation’s success.
Design Thinking can be as effective in service-driven businesses as it should be in product dominant ones. It always result in new services for external customers or improved processes and productivity gains for internal customers. If applied with equal fervor, it transforms HR, finance, marketing, or operations teams—turning them into lean and agile profit centers.

Your Learning Adventure
The following points succinctly lay out the rationale behind the sought after unique benefits that differentiate all Curious People collaborated workshops on Innovation from other training providers in the adult development market:
I. Two multi-disciplinary Design Thinking facilitators
II. Specialist Certified Trainers in Business Design Thinking
III. Powerful Co-Creative Solutions
IV. Synergistic Multidisciplinary Teams
V. Optimum Learning through Experience Design
Two Multi-disciplinary Design Thinking Facilitators
In order to help participants connect and use information that they have learned from various disciplines to address the problem at hand; the workshop is to be developed and delivered by two certified Business Design specialists each from different yet complementary disciplines, backgrounds, and experience. The different disciplines borrow knowledge from each other potentially makes the classroom learner-centric and thought provoking.
Specialist Certified Trainers in Business Design Thinking
The workshop is developed based on the Business Design Thinking methodology developed and popularized by Roger Martin; it is the only form of Design Thinking in the world that is specially adapted for business to help organisations create solutions for challenges and growth. As such, trainers must be rigorously trained and professionally certified as specialists by the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto to practice, facilitate and teach Business Design Thinking to SME’s and government agencies on an educational and commercial level. Further to being certified, the Curious People has adapted and localize this methodology to a level where the local SME workforce is able to easily appreciate and embrace it as good habits at work.
Powerful Customer Co-Creative Solutions
Co-creation is a powerful tool that all businesses (especially SMEs) should use in order to stay connected with evolving customers purposefully, so as to remain relevant to those customers in an increasingly competitive market. This is because it allows and encourages a more active involvement from the customer to create a value rich experience – one that empowers the customer to co-construct the service experience to suit their needs and context.
Synergistic Multidisciplinary Teams
True innovation happens when strong multidisciplinary teams and members come together to build a collaborative culture, and explore the intersection of their different points of view. Such a team synergy is able to redefine problems outside normal boundaries and reach solutions based on a new understanding of complex situations. One widely used application of this approach is in health care, where people are often looked after by a multidisciplinary team that aims to address their complex clinical and nursing needs.
Effective Learning & Creativity through Experience Design
An interestingly curated space by the multidisciplinary trainers achieves the optimal learning experience. Similar with adult learning, the spark of innovation can only occur in a conducive environment, one that is an adventurously curated with objects of curiosities, unique artifacts, and activities to help the participants create ideas and solutions by helping them re-learn about their personal life experiences, interests, and passions.
